Yellowstone Canyon Rim Loop – Moderate

This picturesque tour offers a kaleidoscope of Yellowstone’s iconic features. Begin with an easy stroll over rolling prairie with distant mountain views. Then briefly enter a hydrothermal basin for an up-close look at active hot springs! Next we wander through a forest dotted with lily pad filled ponds, and trek along the rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River. The rim of the canyon provides breathtaking views before finishing our hike with an unforgettable stop at the rushing water’s edge. Yellowstone Observation Peak – Moderate/Hard

Stand on top of one of Yellowstone’s highest peaks and take in the vast, panoramic scenery. We begin our adventure through a thin forest before crossing marshland near the brilliant blue waters of Cascade Lake. We slowly ascend a long, gentle slope, with time to marvel at the vibrant wildflowers and interesting rock formations. At the summit, the windswept peak reveals young trees growing from the remnants of past wildfires. The hike finishes at a historic observation cabin with unmatched views of the surrounding wilderness.

Shoshone Lake & River Loop – Moderate
Nature lovers will find paradise on this stunning backcountry loop. Starting on the Continental Divide Trail, we hike through high alpine forests along gentle slopes. Few visitors experience Shoshone Lake, a secluded gem offering unmatched solitude in Yellowstone’s wilderness. After some time next to the peaceful shoreline, we follow along the pristine Lewis Channel, eventually arriving at the waterfront sanctuary of Lewis Lake. Finish your 11-mile adventure with high-fives and a deeper connection to the natural wonders of Yellowstone!
